Alison Simons has been with Dummett Copp LLP since 2001 after qualifying as a European Patent Attorney with BT's Intellectual Property Department.
Alison graduated from the University of Manchester in 1986 with a first class honours degree in Computer Science, she then joined the Speech Applications division at BT Research Laboratories. In 1996, she was awarded an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering with distinction from Kings College London. While working for BT, Alison contributed to several speech recognition patents, and received BT's patent medal in 1997 for the most promising invention of the year.
Alison became a partner with the firm in 2005.
