New Faces at Dummett Copp

Just as David Copp moves on to new challenges, we are delighted to welcome two new recruits to expand the team at Dummett Copp.

Dr Nick Jackson joins us from 21July from an established patent and trade mark firm in the Midlands. Nick is a qualified patent attorney, holding qualifications from the UK and from the European Patent Offices as well as trade mark qualifications from the European Trade Marks Office. He is moving to Suffolk, where he and his young family will enjoy what we know to be a quality of life second to none.

Nick has a broad technical background, having obtained a BSc Honours degree in Physics and Sports Science at the University of Loughborough in 1992, and then having achieved a PhD in Medical Physics from the University of Manchester in 1997.

We are really looking forward to Nick's arrival. He will provide significant strength, in particular in supporting the growing nature of the Dummett Copp practice, and Nick will do his best to personally meet established clients of the firm in the near future.

Dr Jacqueline Capes will also be joining us in August this year as a trainee patent attorney. She is looking forward to her training here which will be under the supervision of Rob McLean.

Jacqui has a first class honours degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, and completed her PhD studies in the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy at Cambridge with a thesis entitled "Pharmaceutical Polymorphs: Crystallisation, Stabilisation and Delivery".

Peter Gemmell, Senior Partner said, "We are very excited to have attracted two such talented people to join our team here. They will be a tremendous asset to us and our clients".
