Like most legal advisers, we aim to help clients to settle disputes without the need for litigation. However there are times when third party intervention is needed to settle a dispute. We can advise on which available dispute resolution route appears most likely to provide a solution to the issue. This may be arbitration, with an independent arbitrator, mediation where a mediator attempts to find a middle road for the parties or, ultimately, a court action.

We are able to brief barristers directly, and usually the first stage involves obtaining a barrister's opinion to back up our own advice. Following that we may take an active part in pursuing our clients claims, and we may recommend other professionals who have more direct expertise in the field in question.
