European Patent Office (EPO) communications issued on or after 1 November 2023 will no longer be subject to the "10-day postal rule," meaning a reduced timeframe for applicants to respond to these communications.
Following the EPO's transition to electronic communications for over 99% of its documents, the EPO no longer deems the 10 day rule to be necessary.
