Innovation Funding for Small Businesses

The UK government has announced investment funding of up to £2 million to support technological innovation in small and micro-sized UK businesses.

The funding will be for feasibility studies, for which grants of up to £25,000 will be made available in the following technology areas:

• advanced materials and nanoscale technologies
• biosciences
• electronics, photonics and electrical systems
• information and communications technology.

The competition will open on 12 March 2012, and applications must be submitted by 11 April 2012.
